Divorce University™ Online: Understanding Child Support and Parenting Plans

Divorce with children involves calculating child support and creating a plan to split parental responsibility and parenting time.

This course includes a previously recorded workshop featuring legal experts who will help you understand the Income Shares Child Support Model:

  • How the calculation works

  • Factors that are important to it

  • What information you will need to figure out support

You will also learn about creating a parenting plan, a document that lays out who will make decisions for a child and how those decisions will be made. This was called "custody" but this term is no longer used in Illinois.

Who: For anyone contemplating or starting the divorce process, can pay electronically, and access the course through a web browser on their computer or mobile device.
