Individual Information Sessions
Because we understand that every situation is unique, we offer
confidential one-on-one private sessions for women. We'll talk about
where you are in the decision process (not sure, just thinking,
preparing or ready to move ahead) and factors to consider. In a
supportive environment we will discuss what to expect, what your rights
are, how to hire professionals, how to look at your family's finances
and custody issues in divorce.

Workshops and Seminars
You have questions. Or maybe you haven't yet thought of all the questions
you should ask. Either way, we can help.
We schedule
daytime, evening and weekend workshops for your convenience.

- Divorce University, held in the spring and fall, is a full
day event where you'll hear from judges, attorneys and mediators,
therapists and family counselors, financial planners, career
counselors and women who've survived the process and moved on to
independent lives. View a sample
schedule of events.
- Half-Day
Seminars feature panel presentations focusing on legal
and financial matters, as well as the emotional stress and loneliness that's
often associated with divorce.
- Evening Workshops are
devoted to single topics such as the divorce process and what to expect,
coping with the impact of infidelity, the do's and don'ts of successful
co-parenting, and financial security in a divorce.
Partial scholarship assistance is available.
Support
Groups
Sharing reactions with other women who are in similar circumstances can be
an empowering experience. The Lilac Tree offers different groups to help
women who are divorcing deal with anger, loss and grieving, parenting
problems, relationship issues, financial concerns, and ways to move on.
These are 8-week sessions that meet once a week.

Free
Referrals
Finding the right professionals can be daunting. We can help, with free referrals
to professionals in our registry. Our attorney panel, for instance, consists
of attorneys who focus on women's issues. We can also guide you to
mediators, financial planners, certified divorce planners and CPAs,
therapists, career counselors and social service agencies.
